Genius Jones, a retailer of children’s furniture and apparel, faced the challenge of managing multiple sales channels and serving two audiences—children as users and parents as buyers—while keeping costs low and customer satisfaction high. As the business grew from a single store to add a website, phone sales and multiple locations, the company needed a way to synchronize inventory, orders and customer data across channels.
In 2006 Genius Jones implemented CORESense’s web-based, on-demand retail platform to unify product catalog, order fulfillment, inventory and CRM. The solution provided real-time visibility from anywhere, reduced inventory and staffing costs, enabled faster response to marketing and supply needs, supported expansion, and helped the company double its revenue.
