Liquid Web is a privately held managed web hosting and datacenter company (three datacenters in Lansing, MI and one in Scottsdale, AZ) serving about 25,000–30,000 customers with 24x7 certified support. In recent years rising volumetric and non‑volumetric DDoS attacks began degrading customer experience and creating collateral impact across shared infrastructure, and the company’s existing detection-focused solution wasn’t preventing enough incidents.

Liquid Web adopted a hybrid DDoS strategy by adding Corero’s real‑time inline mitigation appliances to complement its on‑premise detection tools, first trialing in its largest Lansing datacenter and then rolling out across all sites to protect over 100G of bandwidth. The implementation sharply reduced malicious traffic and outage minutes, improved customer satisfaction, eased security operations (freeing staff to focus on other issues), and included Corero SOC support during the transition.
