A CorelDRAW Case Study
zedX, the Formula Student Electric team from TU Berlin, faced the challenge of designing and building a competitive electric racing car and all accompanying marketing materials in under ten months — with no dedicated graphic designer. To prepare brochures, posters, logos, business cards and roughly fifty sponsor stickers needed for the car and events, the team turned to CorelDRAW and specifically the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite for its ease of use and rapid learning curve.
CorelDRAW sponsored zedX with a licensed copy of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite and the team used it to create logos, convert about 50 sponsor graphics into white vector files (saved as DXF for print), and produce print-ready marketing collateral at speed. The result: zedX grew from six to eighteen members, finished the project on time, placed fourth in the business presentation at Formula Student Germany, earned a Clean Tech Media Award nomination and was named “Innovation of the Week” by Die Welt — outcomes the team attributes to the productivity gains from CorelDRAW.
