Using CorelDRAW Graphics Suite to prepare students with disabilities for life after high school

Tech-Now, Inc is an Oklahoma City education program that prepares roughly 290 students with disabilities across 21 high schools for life after high school by bridging the gap between classroom technology and workplace skills. To build an engaging, career-focused curriculum and train teachers, Tech-Now developed its program using CorelDRAW Graphics Suite from vendor CorelDRAW and delivers it through video-based computer-aided instruction.

Using CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, Tech-Now teaches desktop publishing, graphic design and digital media (including Corel PHOTO‑PAINT), having students create real products, form companies, and develop teamwork and workplace skills. The CorelDRAW-powered curriculum increased student engagement and produced measurable outcomes: a 96.6% high-school graduation rate for program alumni versus 57% nationally for students with disabilities, while serving students across 21 high schools.
