Mauricio de Sousa Produções, a 50‑year‑old comics and animation studio in São Paulo with about 500 employees, faced tighter deadlines, limited production capacity and costly physical storage of finished pencil art. To modernize and streamline workflows, designer Zazo introduced the vendor CorelDRAW’s solution, adopting CorelDRAW Graphics Suite to digitize character art and production processes.

By moving to CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, the studio shifted to a vector‑based digital workflow that cut paper and storage costs, increased production without hiring more staff, and improved final artwork quality and flexibility (resizing, effects, corrections). CorelDRAW helped the team meet faster turnaround needs—Zazo reports roughly three days per page from research to finished art—and enabled new commercial output such as the Mônica + 18 line, demonstrating clear productivity and cost benefits.
