A CorelDRAW Case Study
South African charity Joint Aid Management (JAM) needed to cut costs and reduce its dependence on external graphic designers for newsletters, posters, signs and logos. To address this, JAM implemented CorelDRAW Graphics Suite from CorelDRAW on its Apple Macs, giving staff an intuitive vector illustration and page-layout tool with built-in templates and training.
Using CorelDRAW, JAM brought design work back in-house—seven staff now create materials directly, producing monthly newsletters, location maps (with Google Maps links and GPS coordinates), vinyl signs and event logos that previously would have cost about 500 Rand (~$50 US) per hour to outsource. CorelDRAW delivered faster turnaround (moments instead of days), measurable cost savings, more creative output and new online features (clickable images to donation pages) that have improved communications and fundraising.
