Munich University of Applied Sciences chooses CorelCAD™ to focus on usability

Munich University of Applied Sciences needed a cross‑platform CAD solution to teach its Technical Documentation and Communications students how to create ergonomic, multimedia instruction materials that stay consistent with engineering data. To support Mac and Windows labs, teach CAD principles, and handle common formats like AutoCAD DWG, the university adopted CorelCAD as part of the Corel Academic Site Licence from CorelDRAW.

CorelDRAW’s offering (CorelCAD + CASL) gave the university a user‑friendly, DWG‑compatible CAD tool that runs on both Mac and PC, allowing students and instructors to open and edit models created on different platforms. The result: quicker student learning in 2D/3D, stronger media competence for future technical writers, and seamless integration into a Mac lab of 30 computers supporting a selective program that admits 35 students per term.
