Hauni Maschinenbau, a Hamburg-based machine builder founded in 1946 that supplies complex cigarette- and filter-production equipment worldwide, faced the challenge of turning large, customized Siemens NX 3D models into clear, multi‑language technical documentation—often 300–400 pages per machine that can grow into four-figure page counts. To produce fast, understandable illustrations while preserving an existing CGM‑based workflow, Hauni turned to CorelDRAW and its CorelDRAW Technical Suite (including XVL Studio 3D CAD Corel Edition and Corel DESIGNER).

CorelDRAW’s solution workflows convert JT exports from Teamcenter into XVL Studio for exploded views and automated vector fills, then send isometric views into Corel DESIGNER for callouts, thick–thin lining and CGM export; the suite was rolled out to almost 30 workstations with partner-led training. The result: substantial time savings (vector fills and envelopes that used to be done mostly by hand are now done in a few clicks), fast production of first manuals within weeks, seamless CGM compatibility to avoid conversions, and the ability to update illustrations without losing prior edits—improving clarity and speeding documentation delivery for Hauni.
