A CorelDRAW Case Study
St. Edmund Campion Catholic School, a large Birmingham secondary and sixth-form centre with well over 1,000 pupils, needed a single, easy-to-manage design solution for its Creative Technologies faculty that could serve novices and advanced students across Graphics, Textiles, Resistant Materials and other subjects while driving output directly to machines like laser cutters, CNC routers and fabric printers. The school adopted CorelDRAW Graphics Suite under a Corel Academic Site Licence (CASL) to meet that need.
Using CorelDRAW across year groups has enabled direct export to multiple peripherals, fast prototyping (students can design a wooden tangram and have it cut within minutes), precise vectorisation for CNC and fabric work, and reliable colour profiling for printed garments — all without additional conversion tools. CorelDRAW has cut production time, reduced material waste, supported cross-disciplinary projects and now serves the whole school population, providing professional results and eliminating the need for other software.
