Ferris State University saves time and reduces costs by creating graphics projects in-house

Ferris State University’s Center for Student Services needed a faster, lower-cost way to produce campus-wide graphics—course catalogs, class schedules, recruitment posters, maps and signs—without outsourcing. After testing alternatives, the university adopted CorelDRAW Graphics Suite because it was easier to learn, let multiple staff members contribute, and offered the export and layout capabilities needed for professional results.

Using CorelDRAW Graphics Suite in-house, FSU standardized workflows, reused layered content, and leveraged tools like Object Manager, interactive effects and Corel PHOTO-PAINT to produce complex pieces such as campus maps. The results: a 3D map cost drop from an estimated $30,000 to $4,000, about $170,000 saved annually on 570 posters (roughly $2.78 each vs. $300 at a service bureau), 4–5 hours saved per day for the team, and 160 different print jobs produced—all achieved with CorelDRAW.
