Case Study: University of Barcelona achieves digital-design training for future teachers and substantial cost savings with CorelDRAW

Digital Design for Teachers of the Future

The University of Barcelona, a top-200 global university with over 80,000 students and 5,000+ professors, needed an easy-to-learn, versatile design tool to train future teachers in creating digital teaching materials—from origami diagrams to vector illustrations. To meet that challenge the Faculty of Teacher Education incorporated CorelDRAW Graphics Suite into courses such as Digital Literacy for Teachers and Pen, Pencil and Computer.

CorelDRAW provided vector drawing, Bezier curve editing and high-quality vectorisation, integrated into workflows with image editors and multimedia platforms, and was deployed campus-wide under a Campus licence. The result: roughly 285 workstations running the suite, simplified installation and upgrades, significant cost savings (up to 400% annually versus single‑user licences), and thousands of teacher graduates each year equipped with practical digital-design skills thanks to CorelDRAW.
