Case Study: Summit Graphics achieves streamlined high‑volume variable‑data printing and superior color output with CorelDRAW

A CorelDRAW Case Study

Preview of the Summit Graphics Case Study

CorelDRAW has been the backbone of Summit Graphics since day one

Summit Graphics, a 10-employee print shop in Moline, Ill., needed to produce high-quality, variable-data and color-critical jobs without relying on IT support or external database specialists. Since 1989 they have used CorelDRAW (CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12) as the backbone of their design and production workflow to address these challenges.

CorelDRAW’s built-in Print Merge and variable-data features let Summit import a client .csv and produce over 3,000 sequentially numbered ID badges with full control over fonts, colors and formatting—no scripting or database admin required. CorelDRAW also delivered superb output, trapping and color-separation tools and flexible file handling (mixed Photoshop, TIFF and vector files), speeding production, reducing registration errors and enabling a successful, highly targeted marketing campaign.
