Scottish Water saves money with Core Technology Systems by moving legal case documents to SharePoint

Scottish Water, the national water provider for Scotland, faced the challenge of migrating from a costly, separate document management platform (Documentum) while preserving the critical automated links between legal cases in their Optimum system and associated documents. They engaged vendor Core Technology Systems to implement a solution using Office 365's native SharePoint document libraries to achieve this integration and reduce costs.

Core Technology Systems created a custom PowerApps form that used a lookup list of case references as a data source and replaced the default SharePoint form. This created a seamless experience for employees, integrating case reference data directly into SharePoint. The solution provided Scottish Water with tremendous ongoing cost savings by eliminating the need for a separate platform while delivering full functionality and usability benefits.
