University of Florida turns costly inefficient process into best-in-class efficiency

The University of Florida faced a costly, paper-based accounts payable process across a 2,000‑acre campus with more than 50,000 vendors, 3,000 approvers and roughly 180,000 invoices a year. To centralize and automate payments while avoiding heavy internal maintenance, UF selected Corcentric’s cloud-based AP solution—featuring a vendor portal, e-invoicing, OCR scanning and automated workflows—to replace decentralized snail‑mail and manual voucher entry.

Corcentric implemented the automated AP system, onboarding tens of thousands of vendors and training departmental users; within eight weeks UF had largely eliminated paper, reduced exceptions by automatically matching remit addresses, and accelerated processing to meet a 10‑day payment window for small and local vendors. The Corcentric solution now supports UF’s ~$1.2B in annual AP spend, cuts manual input across 3,000 purchasers, improves timeliness of data, and enables capture of early‑payment discounts.
