Stericycle savesmillions with Corcentric’s fleet management solutions

Stericycle, a leader in medical waste recycling and secure document destruction, was burdened by an aging truck fleet (averaging nearly nine years), rising maintenance and repair costs, and limited flexibility from a full-service lease model. To address these issues, Stericycle partnered with Corcentric, deploying Corcentric Capital Equipment Solutions and Corcentric Analytics for Fleet Efficiency (Cafe) to gain control over fleet lifecycle and costs.

Corcentric transitioned Stericycle to a non-full-service lease model, implemented Cafe analytics (56 fleet reports, including 10 daily), and supported vehicle prototype and ergonomic improvements, enabling data-driven procurement and maintenance decisions. The results include replacing about 2,600 trucks, reducing average fleet age from 8.9 to 3.5 years, millions in savings (e.g., $6.8M saved in 2023 and $3.6M saved in parts sales), $1.56M saved from reduced idle time, and significant emissions reductions—demonstrating clear operational and financial impact from Corcentric’s solutions.
