Defining and implementing an expense commitment process with Corcentric

Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) struggled with paper purchase orders, Excel-based tracking and manual approvals that were often lost, leaving invoices decentralized and the Finance Department without visibility into expense commitments. After a 2013 internal audit, YSL sought a technology-driven procure-to-pay system and selected Corcentric’s Procure-to-Pay solution to centralize purchasing data and streamline expense and budget tracking.

Corcentric implemented its cloud-based Procure-to-Pay/Corcentric Procurement platform (excluding travel and transportation), centralizing €82 million in spend across 20,000 orders per year for 300 users and 5,000 registered suppliers. The Corcentric solution delivered real-time centralized data, automated approvals and budget updates, improved traceability and time savings, and enabled reliable budget tracking (with 80% of requests handled as regularizations), helping YSL anticipate overruns and focus stakeholders on higher‑value activities.
