Charleston Area Medical Center ensures supplier managment compliance

Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), a nonprofit 1,103-bed regional referral center made up of six hospitals, needed a centralized supplier database and a compliant process to onboard, certify and annually evaluate its wide supplier base while meeting CMS rules and screening against OIG/LEIE and GSA/SAM. To address these challenges, CAMC selected Corcentric and its Corcentric Platform, using the Supplier Information Management module to streamline supplier management.

Corcentric implemented a customized Corcentric Platform SIM solution—paired with Contract Lifecycle Management and Supplier Risk & Performance Management—to automate onboarding, certification, annual questionnaires and exclusion-list screening. The Corcentric deployment now manages over 750 suppliers, simplifies collection and analysis of supplier data, prevents contract creation for non-certified suppliers, and makes CMS-required annual evaluations fast and consistent, improving compliance and operational efficiency.
