Case Study: Mexia Independent School District boosts campus safety with Coram AI

Mexia Independent School District cuts investigations from hours to minutes with Coram

Mexia Independent School District, a school district in Texas, faced a challenge with an outdated camera system that was slow and inefficient for investigating incidents. This reactive security approach was deemed insufficient, especially after a firearm incident on campus, prompting the district to seek a real-time solution. They partnered with vendor Coram to implement its AI-powered video management and access control platform.

The solution from Coram provided always-on AI monitoring, real-time weapon detection alerts, and unified control of doors and lockdowns. This implementation drastically cut investigation times from hours to minutes and allowed for proactive threat detection. The measurable impact for Mexia ISD was a transformed security posture, enabling faster response and providing genuine peace of mind for students and staff.
