ABB needed a better way to manage intercompany payments across a large global footprint, with invoices spread across 67 countries and complex requirements in difficult markets such as China, India, Brazil, South Africa, and Russia. The company’s challenge was to move from a payable-driven to a receivable-driven multilateral netting process while keeping disputes and local regulations under control.

Coprocess implemented ABB’s multilateral netting approach with dispute handling, including domestic netting through in-country pools, local settlement centers, and domestic CNY invoicing where required. The result was a highly comprehensive process that included 99% of all intercompany invoices, covering about 1.66 million invoices and helping ABB improve overdues and cash-in-time performance.
