A Copado Case Study

How KUKA Scaled Multi-Org Deployments with Copado

KUKA, a global automation company with €3.2B in annual revenue and ~14,200 employees, relied on Salesforce but struggled with a manual, error-prone release process managed through JIRA: no version control, frequent overwrites, lengthy sandbox refreshes that could block development for 5–6 working days, and many manual pre/post-deployment steps. To address these DevOps challenges they turned to Copado (the #1 Native DevOps solution for Salesforce) for a native, integrated toolset.

Copado was implemented with JIRA integration and later GIT as the single source of truth, bringing automated metadata tracking, user‑story–based deployments, version control, and auto-resolve merge capabilities. The results: sprint deployments now take 2–6 hours instead of days, sandbox refreshes dropped to four times a year, and component throughput rose from ~400 to 600 per deployment while manual pre/post steps fell from 50 to 10—delivering higher velocity, fewer errors, and improved release quality for KUKA.
