The glass container manufacturer faced significant energy inefficiencies and high costs from its furnace operation. The furnaces, which were the plant's largest energy consumer, used outdated, manual, and conservative control methods. This led to non-optimized air-fuel ratios, unstable temperature control, and inefficient fan operations. CoolPlanet was engaged to address these challenges using its CoolPlanetOS energy management and analytical software.

CoolPlanet's solution involved installing its CoolPlanetOS platform to provide real-time monitoring and automated control of critical furnace and fan systems. This enabled precise optimization of combustion, temperature, and pressure, which drastically improved efficiency. The implementation resulted in total annual energy savings of €455,235, comprising €275,514 in gas savings and €179,721 in electricity savings, achieving a full return on investment for the customer in just nine months.
