Shipt, a grocery and home goods delivery service, faced the challenge of increasing employee recognition, driving engagement during a period of high growth and remote work, and motivating its large customer experience team with new performance benchmarks. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Cooleaf to implement its employee recognition and engagement platform.

Cooleaf's solution provided a public recognition feed, automated celebrations, and performance-driven awards integrated with Slack. For the customer experience team, Cooleaf was used to create the "Drive Award," which gave points for hitting weekly availability targets. This initiative saw an immediate increase in performance, with the portion of the team hitting their benchmarks jumping from 59.6% to 71%. Cooleaf helped Shipt engage over 1,200 employees, improve morale, and maintain a strong culture virtually.
