Trisomy 18 Foundation - Customer Case Study

Trisomy 18 Foundation, a nonprofit supporting families affected by Edwards Syndrome, needed to expand patient education, peer support and communications despite a small staff, tight budget and a fragmented website. They lacked email tools, accepted donations only via PayPal, required HTML skills for site changes, and couldn’t effectively engage forum users.

The foundation implemented Convio’s integrated suite—fundraising, email marketing, web content management, ecommerce and tributes—rolled out in phases to allow growth, enable easy site updates, personalize messaging and let constituents create personal pages. As a result, monthly online donations rose from $2,000 to $10,000 and annual giving more than tripled, the email list doubled (about 400 new registrants/month), unique visitors grew from 8,000 to 20,000+, monthly hits surpassed 1 million, and staff time was freed for other priorities.
