A Convio Case Study
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, a Chicago- and Jerusalem-based nonprofit that builds support for Israel and helps Jewish people in need, wanted to expand its donor base beyond an older offline audience. With a largely static, tech-driven website and 63% of donors over age 55, the organization needed easy-to-use online tools to reach younger constituents and incorporate email and web communications into its fundraising strategy.
The Fellowship adopted Convio for web content management, email marketing, online fundraising, advocacy and surveys, enabling personalized email campaigns, rapid petition drives and integrated online giving. Results included a 143% growth in email addresses (to nearly 46,000), more than $1 million raised online between January and July 2005 (a 104% increase over 2004), 12,000 petition signatures in under three weeks, nearly $76,000 raised from that campaign, halved donation processing costs and reduced print-and-mail expenses.
