Easter Seals, a national nonprofit serving people with disabilities through 90+ regional affiliates and 13,000 staff and volunteers, faced a fragmented online presence: 88 independently run sites plus national and program sites with inconsistent branding and limited accessibility. With an offline donor base averaging 72 years old, the organization needed a unified, accessible web strategy to reach younger online donors and provide a consistent experience across its network.
Easter Seals implemented Convio’s hosted platform for web content management, fundraising, events, email and accessibility checking, migrating more than 100 sites while allowing affiliates to manage local content. The integrated solution added an affiliate locator, powered the Walk With Me TeamRaiser events, and enabled targeted monthly newsletters—resulting in email list growth from 500 to over 170,000, about 1,200 new registrants per month, coordinated branding across the network, and full compliance with online accessibility guidelines.
