A Convio Case Study
BC Cancer Foundation, founded in 1935, raises funds to support cancer research and care across British Columbia. Its web presence was limited to static pages on its parent organization's site, leaving the brand invisible and preventing targeted email campaigns or control of online donations, so the foundation searched for an eCRM to create its own online presence and boost fundraising.
By implementing Convio’s eCRM suite (Email, Fundraising, TeamRaiser, eCommerce, Event Calendar) and using a Convio Virtual Administrator, the foundation launched targeted campaigns and empowered third‑party event organizers. The results: $582,000 raised online in FY2007 (including $80,000 via TeamRaiser), monthly online donations grew from under $10,000 to as much as $130,000 at peak, and 10,000 holiday cards were sold.
