How FEE.org’s grew conversions from 0.7% to over 4% with 1 million monthly visitors

Foundation for Economic Education (FEE.org) is a nonprofit dedicated to educating young adults about free-market principles. With nearly 1 million monthly visitors but only a small portion on its email list, the team needed a better way to turn site traffic into subscribers and donors. After being frustrated with another popup tool, Sumo, FEE.org turned to ConvertFlow to improve website lead capture and list growth.

Using ConvertFlow, FEE.org launched email popups and targeted CTAs personalized with HubSpot contact data, including contact list membership, properties, and even a user’s name. The results were dramatic: conversion rates rose from about 0.7% with Sumo to over 4% on new campaigns, later stabilizing around 2%, representing a 5.7x increase in opt-in rates. FEE.org also cited faster support and easier campaign iteration as major benefits of ConvertFlow.
