Case Study: Vulcan Materials Company achieves streamlined safety compliance and reduced training costs with Convergence Training

A Convergence Training Case Study

Preview of the Vulcan Materials Company Case Study

How Convergence helped Vulcan expand their training program while improving recordkeeping and reporting

Vulcan Materials Company, the largest aggregate producer in the United States with 8,100+ employees across seven divisions and 220+ sites, faced a major training challenge: limited instructor manpower, classroom sessions booked a year in advance, and scattered training records that made compliance and safety training difficult to manage. To address these issues they partnered with Convergence Training and adopted the Convergence LMS along with OSHA and health & safety course content.

Convergence Training implemented a mix of self-paced eLearning and classroom-management features—most notably the Convergence LMS Bulk Credit Wizard—to centralize records, give groups credit for classroom sessions, and automate completion reporting. As a result Vulcan freed up instructor time, reduced travel and production expenses for recurring compliance classes (e.g., sexual harassment training), and gained the ability to track and report training completion across its 8,100+ workforce, delivering measurable operational efficiencies and cost savings.
