Las Vegas Market, the largest furniture, home decor, and gift wholesale market in the West, wanted to give exhibitors a better way to manage leads and act quickly when high-value buyers visited their booths. The event needed more than basic badge scanning, so Convention Data Services (CDS) was asked to provide lead retrieval technology that could alert the right sales representative when an attendee from their territory was scanned.

Convention Data Services implemented the XPress Leads suite with a text alerts feature that let exhibitors assign territories and preload mobile numbers for instant notifications. When badges were scanned, the appropriate rep received a text alert and could immediately meet the attendee in the booth. During the show, 33 exhibitors used the feature and sent more than 110,000 text messages, averaging over 3,000 alerts each, helping exhibitors connect the right sales staff with prospects and improve lead management.
