Lineas, the largest private rail freight operator in Europe, needed its IT to be continuously reliable so trains and cross-border shipments never stop for lack of documentation or system outages. While migrating to Citrix Workspace and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Lineas’ challenge was to keep systems manageable and eliminate downtime that would halt operations — so they partnered with ControlUp, using ControlUp Real-Time DX and ControlUp Automate to maintain performance and uptime.

ControlUp implemented real-time monitoring and automation to detect, diagnose, and remediate issues before they impact users. The platform enabled a printing failure to be identified and fixed in under ten minutes (avoiding days of disruption), reduced daily health-checks to about 10 minutes, saved roughly one hour per day (~260 hours/year), and helps manage more than 1,500 users — delivering continuous, 24/7 availability and measurable productivity gains for Lineas.
