Weston College, an Ofsted-rated Good further and higher education provider serving thousands of learners, needed a reliable, easy-to-manage access control solution across a multi-site campus (9,000 users, 120 doors across 15 sites). Controlsoft was chosen to provide a networked access system (Identity Access) that could integrate with the college’s existing student and staff management software to solve the complexity of synchronising permissions across sites.

Controlsoft’s Identity Access, together with iNet door controllers and HID RP10 readers, was installed in 2010 and expanded over 14 years to cover all 120 doors across 15 sites. The Controlsoft solution synchronises user permissions with the college database—eliminating duplicate data entry—while making user and card-permission management straightforward; as a result, Weston College now manages access for 9,000 users more efficiently and securely across its campuses.
