Controlsoft Provides Secure Access Control to UK Storage

UK Storage Company operates a network of self‑storage facilities across the South West of the UK and needed a more flexible access control solution to balance 24/7 home-customer access with limited business-hours access, plus the ability to set up, change, suspend or reinstate user access remotely and instantly. Their previous system lacked the required flexibility, so they engaged Controlsoft and adopted Controlsoft products — Storm Keypads, iNet Door Controllers and Controlsoft Lite software — to meet these needs.

Controlsoft implemented keypad-based entry with unique customer access codes activated on predefined start dates, managed centrally via Controlsoft Lite and supported by iNet controllers, allowing remote instant provisioning and on-demand suspension/reinstatement of access. The system also records who entered, where and when for dispute resolution, delivering the security and operational control UK Storage Company required; Controlsoft’s solution replaced the inflexible prior system and is now slated for rollout at the company’s next sites.
