Assupol, a proudly South African insurance company dating back to 1913, needed a scalable, easy-to-manage access control system to secure 167 doors across 24 sites for roughly 500 users while allowing flexible options for employees, visitors and contractors. To meet this challenge, Assupol engaged Controlsoft to provide its Identity Access solution and related hardware.

Controlsoft, working with installers, deployed 167 Sigma Lite PLUS Multi biometric readers and 89 i-Net Plus door controllers across all 24 sites, centrally managed by Controlsoft’s Identity Access Professional software with client installs at each branch. The result is a scalable, centrally controlled system that allows local instant changes, supports biometric and temporary-card access for visitors, and secures 167 doors and ~500 users—delivering improved flexibility, simplicity and cost-effectiveness for Assupol.
