Case Study: QuickSilk reinforces its security posture with ControlScan penetration testing

A ControlScan Case Study

Preview of the QuickSilk Case Study

ControlScan Penetration Testing Reinforces Differentiation of QuickSilk’s CMS Platform

QuickSilk, a SaaS company offering a secure content management system (CMS), needed to prove that its security-first platform could stand up to scrutiny and support its differentiation in the marketplace. The company wanted external validation of its security claims and reassurance that its internet-facing application did not contain inherent risks that could undermine customer trust or investor confidence.

ControlScan performed external penetration testing of QuickSilk’s web SaaS application, followed by a remediation retest to confirm that higher-risk issues were fixed. ControlScan found no critical vulnerabilities and only three high-level vulnerabilities, all of which were immediately remediated. The engagement strengthened QuickSilk’s confidence in its security posture and gave the company actionable insight to further harden its CMS platform.
