Blue Cross of Idaho, an independent health insurer with ~850 employees and 800,000 members, faced slow, paper‑based processes and high risk managing Vendor Contracts, NDAs, Broker and Provider agreements. To centralize approvals, improve visibility and reduce manual handoffs, Blue Cross of Idaho engaged Contracts 365 to implement CM[.app], a Contract Management App for SharePoint that adds contract templates, automated workflows, e‑signature and metadata-driven reporting.

Contracts 365’s CM[.app] created a single searchable repository, automated multi‑stage approvals with audit trails, rule‑based permissions and batch e‑signing. The solution enabled NDAs to be initiated electronically, eliminated clerks’ paper bottlenecks, and produced actionable reports (e.g., by renewal date) to avoid costly auto‑renewals. Measurable results include sending 600 broker contracts for e‑signature in 2014 with 93% returned within two days, faster vendor responses, and clear control over contract status and history.
