SENSIT Technologies, a manufacturer of gas detection and air quality monitoring instruments, faced a significant challenge with a time-consuming, paper-based accounts payable process. Their manual system of handling invoices and packing slips across departments was prone to errors and consumed several hours each day. To modernize their financial operations, SENSIT partnered with Continia and implemented their Document Capture solution during a transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The solution from Continia automated invoice processing with OCR scanning, purchase order matching, and digital approval workflows built directly into Business Central. This implementation resulted in SENSIT cutting their invoice processing time by more than 50%. Specific results included matched invoices being processed in about 30 seconds and 85% of PO-related invoices being matched automatically, which drastically reduced manual data entry and errors.
