Dawn Foods, a 100-year-old B2B food manufacturer and distributor, faced a legacy, paper-based ordering model (phones, faxes, in-person) and needed a flexible, B2C-like digital commerce experience and self-service capabilities for global customers. To modernize quickly and enable non-technical teams to manage content, Dawn Foods adopted a MACH architecture and selected Contentstack as its headless CMS alongside commercetools and EPAM.
Contentstack’s headless CMS was implemented as part of the MACH solution to decouple content from channels, enable rapid multi-channel publishing, and let marketing teams update content without developers. Using Contentstack with commercetools and EPAM, Dawn Foods went from “no-code” to a full eCommerce platform in 22 weeks, converted over 50% of customers to online buyers, reduced content publishing time by 80%, and delivered six major releases in the first six months post-launch. Contentstack specifically enabled faster, developer-free content workflows and consistent content propagation across the new commerce stack.
