A Contentstack Case Study
1-800-Flowers.com, a leading retail and e-commerce company with more than a dozen brands, needed a more scalable and reliable way to manage content across desktop, mobile web, native apps, and multiple brand sites. Its previous CMS was channel-specific and brittle, making page updates difficult, slowing teams down, and creating dependencies that could disrupt the user experience. Contentstack’s headless CMS was chosen to support a composable architecture with stronger content independence, consistency, and flexibility.
With Contentstack, 1-800-Flowers.com now uses a centralized hub to power homepages, landing pages, product pages, and more, with template stacks, predefined content models, APIs, and webhooks enabling easier brand cloning and faster updates. The company says it can spin up a new brand in about two months, while marketing teams gain daily autonomy to update content without heavy technical support. Contentstack also improved platform stability and helped unify the brand portfolio, reducing disruption and supporting future personalization and commerce-content integration.
