Increasing product conversion with UGC

New Look, a leading fashion retailer in the U.K. and Ireland, wanted to test whether adding user-generated content (UGC) to product pages could improve engagement and drive more purchases. The team used Contentsquare’s Heatmaps to study the impact of UGC on both product listing pages and product detail pages.

New Look and Contentsquare ran an A/B test that replaced the first carousel image with UGC on key pages, giving the team behavioral insights into clicks and conversions. The results were strong: PDP visits rose by 23%, product conversion increased by 19%, and revenue saw a 5.5% uplift over one week, with potential uplift estimated at up to 98% if expanded across the site.
