Auto Trader, the U.K.’s largest vehicle marketplace, needed to improve its retailer portal after data and products became siloed across different parts of the platform. This made it harder for more than 13,000 retailers to quickly find the insights they needed, risking lower usage of key features like its Market Insight product. To understand where users were getting stuck, Auto Trader used Contentsquare’s Experience Intelligence platform to analyze automotive customer journeys and portal behavior.

Using Contentsquare, Auto Trader identified broken journeys, excess steps, and poorly integrated data, then redesigned the experience around a new dashboard-based Vehicle Insight product. The rollout consolidated key advert performance and market data into one place, creating a faster, more intuitive experience for retailers. The new solution launched to 13,000-plus customers, received strong traction and feedback, and Contentsquare continues to help Auto Trader monitor engagement and make ongoing improvements.
