A Contentsquare Case Study
Clarks, the international shoe manufacturer and retailer, needed a better way to understand why shoppers were dropping off on product pages. Using Contentsquare and its zoning tool, the team saw that fewer visitors interacted with the required “Select Fit” step than with “Add to Bag,” making it a key friction point in the buying journey.
Contentsquare helped Clarks identify and test a fix: pre-selecting widths when only one fit was available, which significantly improved add-to-basket rates. Clarks then tested pre-selecting standard width on multi-fit products, found it hurt performance, and quickly reversed it. Overall, Contentsquare’s insight contributed to an estimated £900k increase in ARR from this one change.
