Scotiabank, a Canadian financial institution, sought to expand its online content in 2018 by building a financial literacy blog called the Advice+ Centre. The challenge was finding a creative partner to help develop on-brand, conversational long-form content. They turned to vendor Contently after seeing its work with their subsidiary Tangerine.
Contently's solution involved providing access to its freelance talent network and, crucially, assigning a dedicated Managing Editor to act as an extension of Scotiabank's team. This partnership scaled content production into a well-rounded hub. The results included month-over-month improvements in organic search performance, alongside a significantly expanded scope of work encompassing long-form, multimedia, and social content.
