Powerful, Yet Easy to Manage ContentKeeper Gives Batesville Leaders More Control with Less Effort

Batesville Community Schools, a 2,200-student school district in Indiana, needed a scalable web filtering solution that could enforce the same rules at school and at home, provide granular control over social media content, and give IT staff better visibility without adding administrative burden. Its existing filter was difficult to manage, limited in what it could block, and did not reliably support students’ devices outside the classroom. ContentKeeper Technologies was selected to address these challenges.

With ContentKeeper, Batesville implemented a full-featured web filtering and security platform that works across devices and browsers, integrates with its FileWave MDM system, and allows policy-based controls, detailed reporting, and SSL inspection. ContentKeeper Technologies also enabled the district to block VPN tunneling apps and other bypass tools, reduce bandwidth use from about 50% to 30%, and give teachers safer access to YouTube and other social media resources for instruction. The result was stronger protection, better visibility, and far less work for IT staff.
