Greater Control First Drew Lake Stevens to ContentKeeper Exceptional Service Sealed the Deal

Lake Stevens School District in Washington needed a better way to filter student web access across school and home use, with the ability to apply different policies for different user groups and control individual pages inside SSL-encrypted sites. Its previous filtering system was inconsistent and lacked the flexibility to let staff and students have different access levels, so the district turned to ContentKeeper Technologies and its web filtering solution.

ContentKeeper Technologies provided fine-grained web filtering, SSL decryption for selective blocking within sites like YouTube and Craigslist, and a mobility appliance that extended the same policies to district Chromebooks used off campus. The district was able to support instructional use of these sites while keeping students safe online, and Keith Welton said the filtering was “flawless” and customer support exceptional. The strong results led Lake Stevens School District to sign a three-year renewal after the first year of service.
