Suffolk County Council improved their website security and functionality with Contensis

Suffolk County Council, a local government authority, found its previous CMS platforms, SilverStripe and EndeavourCMS, to be outdated, insecure, and unable to scale. Lacking in-house resources, the council needed a new, reliable content management system that could improve website functionality and security. They turned to the vendor Zengenti and chose their Contensis CMS product to address these challenges.

By implementing Contensis, the council consolidated two systems into one, gaining a modern, user-friendly interface with essential features like workflow governance and scheduled publishing. The project was delivered by Zengenti on time and under budget, resulting in a more secure, efficient, and accessible website. The council estimates that using the reusable Contensis platform saves up to £20,000 in taxpayer money per website compared to external procurement.
