A Contensis Case Study
Bournemouth Christchurch & Poole Council (BCP Council), a unitary local authority in England, faced the challenge of modernizing its outdated and unclear website following a merger. The existing site, built on an older version of Contensis, had poor navigation and no longer reflected the council's identity, hindering user engagement. They partnered with Zengenti to achieve a unified, user-friendly online presence.
Zengenti utilized the modern features of the Contensis CMS platform to implement a solution. This included collaborative domain modelling workshops to structure content and adopting the GOV.UK Design System to ensure high accessibility. The project involved migrating over 15,000 content items to the new system. The results were significant, including an improved accessibility rating of 99%, enhanced SEO performance of 99%, and the successful creation of 7,160 redirects from old content, leading to a modern website with increased user engagement.
