A Contensis Case Study
OMAFA, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness, required a digital solution to replace its outdated system of 13 printed crop protection guides. These publications were costly to produce, time-consuming to update, and often contained outdated information as soon as they were printed. The ministry partnered with CMS vendor Zengenti to transform this content into a dynamic digital resource using its Contensis CMS.
Using Contensis, Zengenti migrated over 100,000 data points into a user-friendly, web-based system, allowing farmers to quickly access accurate and searchable information. The solution vastly improved efficiency, saving OMAFA an estimated $1.6 million in print production costs. The digital hub also enables more precise pesticide calculations, directly supporting the ministry’s goals of reducing chemical use and promoting more sustainable farming practices.
