Elbeco, a leading North American manufacturer of professional uniforms supplying more than 1.5 million garments to 17,000 agencies and companies, needed a more reliable disaster recovery plan for its IBM i (iSeries) system. Their subscription-based DR arrangement proved insufficient—a "piece of paper"—and any outage threatened order processing, pick slips, shipping, invoicing and significant profit loss.

Contegix implemented iSeries administration and a data-center disaster recovery solution including onsite iSeries engineers, a dedicated remote-access logical partition (LPAR), and a "save system" tape process that Contegix loads and restores.
