Port of Leith Distillery tripled Lind & Lime Gin sales in under 2 years with Contagious

The Port of Leith Distillery, creators of Scotland's first vertical distillery, partnered with the agency Contagious to build a comprehensive brand identity and packaging portfolio from the ground up. Their challenge was to establish a foundational brand that could support their ambitious vision for the future distillery and work effectively across a range of different spirits for various target consumers.

Contagious developed a bold brand marque and a flexible visual language, using illustrative storytelling to connect each product's narrative to its place of origin. This solution included distinct packaging for an Oloroso Sherry, a Lind & Lime Gin, and a Port. The work by Contagious drove significant commercial success: the Sherry was a runaway launch success, the Gin tripled production and sales in under two years, and the Port sold out within weeks, establishing a remarkable following for the distillery.
