Great Jones Distilling Co, a distillery from Proximo Spirits, faced the challenge of establishing the first whiskey distillery in New York City in over a century. They needed a cohesive brand idea and experience to solidify their ethos and steer the entire distillery guest experience. They partnered with the vendor Contagious for brand experience strategy.

Contagious developed the "Grand and Grit" brand narrative, which weaved a tale of New York's history and attitude to guide the entire project. This creative direction informed the customer journey across a 28,000 sq ft brand home, including a distillery tour, tasting room, restaurant, and speakeasy. The solution implemented by Contagious resulted in the creation of a landmark distillery that generated over 100 new jobs and revitalized the local neighborhood.
